Congrats Will-Be-Que, Whole Hog BBQ Champions 288 Comments

TempPro is proud to announce that our sponsored team, Will-Be-Que, has won first prize in the Whole Hog Category at the 2026 World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest (WCBCC) at the Memphis in May International Festival.

Will Be Que placed ahead of some 190 competitive BBQ teams to take top honors in the competition's most prestigious category.

Led by pitmaster Craig Wilkerson, Will-Be-Que now has the rare distinction of winning the hotly sought-after prize for two years running. The Tennessee-based competitive BBQ team was also named Grand Champion in the Whole Hog Category at last year’s World Championship Barbecue Cooking Contest.

To give themselves a winning edge, Will-Be-Que used TempPro thermometers to measure internal cooking temperatures in real-time. Specifically, Will-Be-Que used a TempPro TP829B 1,000-ft Wireless 4-Probe Meat Thermometer during the cooking process, going so far as to mount the device over the oven door.

"In barbecue, consistency and precision matter, and having quality products you can trust makes all the difference when competing against the best teams in the world," reads a post on the team's official Facebook page. "We appreciate the support from the TempPro team and are excited to have them alongside us as we defend our title as the Reigning Defending Whole Hog World Champions here on Tiger Lane!"

Will-Be-Que has been a dominant force on the competitive barbecue circuit since the team's founding in 2009, winning over a dozen times at Memphis in May. By winning these back-to-back titles, Will-Be-Que is sure to be remembered as a legendary competitive BBQ team that created the world's finest BBQ.

Congratulations on your big win, Craig and team!
