Ingredients
  • 2 lbs ground pork
  • ½ cup chopped green onions/scallions, split
  • 1 tsp garlic, minced
  • 1 tsp ginger paste or finely grated ginger
  • 1 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 tsp oyster sauce
  • 1 tsp rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp sesame oil
  • 2 tbsp Lao Gan Ma spicy chili sauce, plus extra for drizzling
  • 1 pack dumpling wrappers (wonton or gyoza skins)
  • 1 cup chicken broth
  • 1 tbsp toasted white sesame seeds
Recipe Instructions
1
Season the Meat Filling: In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground pork, green onions, minced garlic, ginger paste, soy sauce, oyster sauce, rice vinegar, sesame oil, and 2 tablespoons of Lao Gan Ma. Mix thoroughly until the seasoning is evenly incorporated throughout the meat.
2
Layer and Assemble: Lightly grease a deep baking dish with oil. Arrange a single layer of dumpling wrappers smoothly across the bottom of the dish. Spread a thick layer of the seasoned ground pork evenly over the wrappers. Repeat the layering process (wrappers, pork, wrappers, pork) for a total of three layers, finishing with a final layer of dumpling wrappers on top. Pour the chicken broth evenly over the top layer to keep the dumpling skins moist during baking. Cover the baking dish tightly with its lid (or aluminum foil).
3
Bake and Check Internal Temperature Set your TempPro TM04B Digital Kitchen Timer to 30 minutes, place the covered baking dish into the preheated oven, and start the countdown. When the timer alerts you that 30 minutes are up, carefully remove the dish from the oven. Uncover and insert the probe of your TempPro TempSwift ELITE TP620 Instant-Read Meat Thermometer straight into the center of the meatloaf. Ensure the internal temperature reads at least 160°F (71°C), verifying that the pork is safely cooked through.
4
Garnish and Serve: Once fully cooked, drizzle an extra spoonful of Lao Gan Ma over the top layer of dumpling wrappers. Sprinkle with fresh chopped green onions and toasted white sesame seeds for added crunch and aroma. Slice into portions, plate up, and enjoy this flavorful dumpling meatloaf.
