Ingredientes
For the Glaze:
  • 2 tbsp ketchup
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or sweetener syrup
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
For the Monster Foot Meatloaf:
  • 3 lbs ground beef
  • 2 green onions (scallions), finely chopped
  • 1 medium yellow onion, finely diced
  • Minced garlic & ginger, to taste
  • 2 tbsp whole grain/mustard seeds
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 2 tsp salt
  • 1 tsp Italian seasoning
  • Whole cashews for the claws/nails
  • Leek stalks or celery stalks: cut into sections for the ankle bones
Instrucciones de la receta
1
Mix the Glaze: In a small bowl, combine the ketchup, maple syrup, and Italian seasoning. Stir thoroughly until well blended and set aside for brushing later.
2
Prepare the Meatloaf Mixture: In a large mixing bowl, add the ground beef, diced onions, chopped green onions, minced garlic, and ginger. Pour in the mustard seeds, eggs, soy sauce, salt, and Italian seasoning. Using gloved hands, mix all the ingredients thoroughly until fully incorporated and cohesive.
3
Sculpt the Monster Feet: Line a baking sheet with parchment paper. Divide the meat mixture and shape it onto the baking sheet into two large, thick foot/paw shapes. Press a section of leek or celery stalk upright into the ankle area of each foot to serve as the protruding bone stump. Wrap the exposed bone ends in small pieces of aluminum foil to prevent burning during baking. Use a knife or your fingers to indent and shape individual toes at the front of each foot. Press whole cashews firmly into the tips of each toe to create gruesome, yellowish monster claws.
4
Bake & Glaze: Preheat your oven to 356°F (180°C). Place the baking sheet in the oven and bake the monster feet for 50 minutes total. Halfway through the cooking time (around 25 minutes), pull the pan out and use a pastry brush to generously coat the meatloaf feet with your prepared ketchup-syrup glaze for a glossy, blood-red spooky finish. Return to the oven to finish baking.
5
Check Internal Temperature: Before removing the monster feet from the oven, insert the TempPro TempSwift ELITE TP18S Instant-Read Meat Thermometer directly into the thickest part of the meatloaf. Verify that the internal temperature has reached a safe doneness, at least 160°F / 71°C for ground beef. Once reached, take them out of the oven.
6
Serve and Enjoy: Remove the aluminum foil from the bone stumps, garnish the platter with fresh parsley for a spooky graveyard effect, and serve hot to amaze your Halloween guests!
