Used these when cooking a rotisserie pig. When the pig is done cooking we have to carry a 120 lbs pig on a really hot skewer, normally this is pretty unpleasant where i have to change hands often to reduce the heat. With these gloves, i was able to carry it the whole way with 0 discomfort for the first time. It's also nice that it's completely waterproof, as oils won't soak though the gloves eventually.
I used to use leather welding gloves for roasting pigs but inevitably, there is some type of spill and I end up with pig drippings all over the leather gloves. Not only is it near impossible to clean off the gloves but the heat from the hot drippings can leak into the gloves. These neoprene gloves clean up easy and are waterproof. Way better than welding gloves for cooking.
What caught my eye about these gloves was that they were washable. If you've smoked meat very much you know that you can get into quite a lot of grease. Wrong time of year for smoking but I'm certain they will work out nice. As far as heat protection, they seem to work great. They actually look kind of thin on the material and I wondered about it, but they are quite insulated. I pulled a cast iron skillet right off the stove top and put my hand under it to carry it to the table. It worked great. They only have one size, which was kind of a concern. I wear a size large normally. My fingers pretty much fit to the end. There is enough room in them for someone with wider hands and fingers to fit comfortable I believe. There's maybe a little slop from side to side, but I'm glad they are not overly long fingers so that you can't really function. These will be nice to be able to pick up and maneuver large pieces of meat around. The quality seems fine and I think you will be satisfied with them.
Great gloves! Handled a hot charcoal chimney with ease and didn't feel a thing. The extra-long sleeve is perfect for blocking flare-ups, and washing them off like regular hands under the sink is incredibly convenient

Don't think I want to wear these at 932F, as you can feel heat through these at a much lower temps, but overall, every pleased with gloves. Able to handle hot grates or heat deflectors in my Kamado Joe comfortable with them. I would purchase again in future if needed.

I ordered these gloves and got them yesterday. As a cook in a restaurant, I am always getting things from the oven, smoker and hot box. These gloves are amazing. Easy to wear, easy to clean. And yes they work!!I need to get some items out of a boiling water bath worked great

Very nice! I have used them to handle a cooked ham from the smoker and a cooked pork butt right from the smoker to the pan. So much easier than trying to balance the meat with a pitchfork and still burning my hands. The cleanup was as easy as washing my hands.

Got these gloves for my wife after we had to send back another pair of gloves that burned her right through them. She told me to say that these gloves worked great. She really likes them, likes how the long part that comes up her arm to protect her arm when reaching in and out of the oven.She does a lot of cooking in the oven and is getting cast iron items in and out of the oven all the time.

These are so much bang for the buck. I run a BBQ pit and the thermal protection is great. I can set my arm right in the fire box to place a log where I want it with zero discomfort. Good articulation of the hands too, unlike Some other gloves I’ve tried that by the way cost more than these.

I am really impressed with these gloves, I usually need xl or xxl gloves, and they fit my hands great while allowing me to handle pots, pans and scalding hot foods.
