I really like the layout, where the temperature numbers are large and separate from the wellness indicators, with separate indicator bands for different meat types.I have not used it yet, as I have been using the electronic one for which this was a free gift....but side-by-side comparison with my classic one generated this review.
I like this so far I've used it three or four times. Make sure you read the directions and don't be freaked out thinking that it's 140° already when you took it out of the package. Basically the dial has to swing all the way around to get your reading. Just wipe the probe off after you use it I wouldn't leave it in the oven or over the heat. That way you'll keep moisture out of the inside.
