Works great, love that it's magnetic and I can leave it on the side of the grill for temping meats.

This thermometer was the cheapest one that I could find but it does not feel cheap! Right out of the box, it comes with the battery and even a mini screwdriver for putting the battery in. Really appreciated that that was included. Also love that it lists common meats on the back and the temperature they should be at. To test it, I stuck it in a rotisserie chicken I had and the temp appeared to be accurate. Its a good size and the metal part folds up, making it compact and easy to store. Definitely an essential tool for cooking meats!

I am very happy with my purchase of this thermometer! I previously had a different kind that had a sheath to keep track of, and that one needed little round batteries. This one needs no sheath, and it uses a type of battery that is easily purchased and changed out when needed. My old one started to go through batteries, so that is why I replaced it. Bonus: it has a magnet on it that is so convenient in the kitchen. I keep mine on the side of the top of the stove. I would recommend this product.

This is not cheap at all, very well designed, it got an excellent warranty and I like it so much I purchased another one for my other kitchen, thank you Thermo Pro for making such a wonderful product.

Fantastic little gizmo

This sleek food preparation thermometer is thoughtfully and ruggedly built while adding a little flare. The company that makes this thermometer, "Thermoworks," is based in Salt Lake City and makes excellent kitchen products, many of which measure temperature or atmospheric conditions. I own a couple of outdoor thermometers of theirs as well as a super loud and commercial grade kitchen timer. I've come to expect good things from them, and the TermoPro Digital Instant Read Meat Thermometer doesn't dissapoint. My refrigerator is near my stove, so I keep this thermometer, which comes with a rear magnet, on my fridge for easy access. It measures in both Celsius and Fahrenheit. A dedicated button operates the back light, which is convenient when I haven't turned on the oven light. You can also "lock" a temperature, so you can recall what the last reading was. I also appreciate that the metal probe is not only tapered, but it is graduated so that the tip is slender and the shaft is sturdy and durable. Conveniently located on the back of the device is a set of recommended temperatures for cooking various meats to temp. I don't know how many times I've had to look that up, so it's great to have it right there. I would recommend this product highly, and I would also suggest looking at their other products because they build good stuff. I really like the handy digital thermometer that hangs from my zipper pull on two of my jackets. Nice gifts. It feels like it's difficult to find good companies in this country that build lasting products, so Thermoworks is a good find.

Had this for a while now. Good simple thermometer with a backlight and magnetic base. Extremely durable and waterproof.... I accidentally left it outside a couple times in a downpour and it still worked perfectly fine.

This thermometer has some fast readings. It also has a folding probe that makes it compact and easy to tuck away. But it also has a magnetic backing, and that is what I really like. I don't have to dig through a drawer to try and find it when I need it. I just stick it to the side if my refrigerator (see pic). As you can see Dwight is admiring it, too!

This works better than I hoped it would.

I am a longtime user of the category-defining Thermapen and Thermapen One instant-read thermometers, but they are expensive, and newer brands like Thermapro have been flooding the market with new and highly-rated instant-read models at a fraction of the price. For under $10 shipped from Amazon, I had to see if it was an acceptable substitute.My impressions after using this Thermapro model is that it is, indeed, and acceptable choice for somebody on a tight budget equipping their first kitchen. If the choice is to have this model, or have no instant-read thermometer at all, then it's a no-brainer. Just buy it.But if you can afford a nicer one, you won't regret spending more. There are differences that will make your life easier in the kitchen.This model is complex and is truly a two-handed operation. It has three buttons including an on/off switch, a light button, and a lock button. There is a delay when you press each of them, and you have to remember to press the button to turn it off after you take the temperature, to prevent the battery from draining (Thermapens by comparison have no buttons. You just open the probe and they turn on and light up, find the temp within 2 seconds, lock onto it, then turn off automatically after a delay).Accuracy is also hit or miss. These models require a complex calibration process that involves distilled water. When using it, the temp bounces around quite a bit until you hit the lock button, and I got wildly disparate readings within seconds, making me think that the tip is very sensitive. I'm not sure why, but that doesn't happen with my Thermapen models.If you've never used an instant-read thermometer, and you aren't sure you need one, and don't want to spend much, then give this one a try. It's MUCH better than not having one at all. But if this is an item you will use every day, and you can afford it, get the Thermapen, or better yet, the Thermapen One.

This thermometer is pretty awesome. My favorite features: the light, being able to wash it, and that it's a ThermoPro.This came with the battery & the screwdriver to secure the battery compartment. It was well-packaged and included phone numbers on a customer-support card. (I don't expect any problems!) I use mine primarily for baking so that it's washable is great. For those times that I am using it for meats, I like that there are some basic temps listed on the device itself.BTW, the reason I trust ThermoPro thermometers is because of the TP0 I have been using for 5 years. That thing worked, worked, and worked. It would still be in use if not for the antics of a visiting toddler! Lil Bam Bam thought it was cute to purposely snap off the metal probe. The probe still worked but was not sturdy enough to use anymore.A tip if this is your first one: don't try storing this in a drawer. That magnet is strong and will stick to ANY metal. Be smarter than I was and slap this high up on your fridge. It's more accessible and will be safe from strong and malicious kiddies.

Convenient and nearly instant read. Right size for pocket or can be hung from a lanyard. Probe long enough for a full sized roast or turkey. On/off/auto-off saves battery. Back lit digital reading easy to read.

Great thermometer, greater customer service. I had an issue, emailed them and they m made it right even though I didn’t buy from them directly (Amazon)

Lasted a very long time for such an affordable thermometer - 3.5 years. And it probably only failed because we got a little water into the battery area and it corroded. Temp seems accurate. Buying again!
